Welcome
If you’re a maker, creative, artist or small business looking for photographs that help people connect with what you do, you’re in the right place.
I love documenting the people, stories and craftsmanship behind local products, services and businesses.
My aim is to capture honest, natural images that offer a glimpse behind the scenes and help build a connection between you and your customers.
Based in Moffat, Scotland, I work with clients throughout the UK and beyond.
Natural light.
Real moments.
Honest storytelling.
I’m not interested in forced smiles, awkward poses or staged situations. I photograph genuine moments that unfold while you work and we chat, offering gentle direction only when it helps things feel more natural or improves the light.
I love deep shadows, streaming daylight, and blurred movement – all of which add character and atmosphere to an image.
My work is observational in nature, capturing how you move through your space and create within it.
Light
I work with natural light wherever possible, only introducing additional light when needed.
Observation
I quietly observe while you work, waiting for real moments to appear rather than creating them.
Posing
No posing or staged scenes. Just the occasional nudge if it helps the light or the moment.
Hi, I’m Trevor
I grew up around photography. My dad was a photographer, and I spent many years as his informal assistant – lugging gear, loading film, and helping out in the darkroom.
His documentary work for local newspapers first introduced me to photographing people at work, and it’s stayed with me ever since.
Photography is my craft – from watching how people move and how light falls to developing film and seeing an image appear in the darkroom.
That appreciation for making things by hand is what draws me to photographing makers, artists and small businesses and the stories behind their work.
If you work with your hands
If you work or create with your hands, and you want images that show the world what you actually do and how you do it, we’re probably a good fit.
I work with makers, artisans, food and drink producers, and creative businesses built around a craft. People who’s work is made not just marketed

Three sessions.
One approach.
Every session starts with a conversation. I want to understand your business, your space and what you need the images to do, before I go anywhere near my camera.
Every session includes full commercial usage rights and an online gallery for select and download your images.
Not sure what you need. Get in touch and we’ll figure it out together.

Environment portraits
Portraits taken where you actually work – at your bench, in your space, surrounded by your tools. Natural light, real context, no forces smiles.
Spaces & places
Interiors, workshops and locations, photographed on film and digital using available light to preserve the character and ambience of the space.
