My goal is to capture honest, natural images that offer a glimpse behind the scenes of your work, and help build connection between and your customers.
Based in Moffat, Scotland, I work with clients throughout the UK and beyond.

I hate forced smiles and awkward poses, they pretty much guarantee stale and boring images. However, images captured in your space, whilst you work – give your audience a glimpse behind the scenes of your business and help build connection and trust.
I love deep shadows, streaming daylight, and blurred movement – I think these add depth and character to an image.
By nature, my work is observational. I capture real moments of you, in your space, doing what you love.
Lighting
As much as possible, I work with the available, natural light within your space, only adding artificial light if needed.
Staging
I won’t be posing or directing you. Although, I might give you the occasional nudge or steer if a small adjustment would improve the image.

I’m always observing trying to catch glimpses of the real you, your smile, hand gestures, posture and personality,
Hi, I’m Trevor
I grew up surrounded by photography. My dad was a photographer, and I spent many years as his informal assistant – lugging gear, loading film, helping in the darkroom, and crucially, learning the art.
His editorial work for local newspapers really inspired me, simple black & white images but full of emotion and feeling. Photographing people at work, has been a passion of mine ever since.
I love the craft of analog photography – you’re not just watching how the light falls or how people move, your creating an image all the way from pushing the shutter button to developing the film and printing the image – it’s magical.
That appreciation for creating things by hand is what I enjoy about working with makers, artists and small businesses. I love watching them work and listening to their story.

Every session starts with a conversation. I want to understand what you do, see your space and discuss what you need the images to do, before.
You get an online gallery to select and download your chosen images and full commercial usage rights.
